Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work.
The thought
Rest isn't the reward for finishing. It's a command, sitting in the same list as don't murder and don't steal, which should tell you how seriously God takes it. He built stopping into the week on purpose, before anyone earned it. The reason that's hard is that stopping feels like falling behind, and admitting you need to stop feels like admitting you're not as capable as you want to be. That's exactly the point. You're a creature. Creatures have limits. Pretending you don't is not strength, it's just a slower way of breaking.
Think about it
What's one thing you do that never actually stops? What would it take to put a real edge on it?
